If you've been following me for a while, you know that I was vegan prior to getting pregnant. Now that my daughter is 16 months old and I'm done nursing, I'm venturing back to my vegan lifestyle (I haven't had meat since October!) I love Thai food (pad Thai and drunken noodles are my favorite), so I wanted to find a way to make a vegan and healthier option. Check out my recipe for this SUPER EASY Raw Vegan Pad Thai dish.
Tuesday Truth Day: The Truth About Feeling Sexy...NOW!After a week home with a sick infant, a husband away on work travel, and limited access to the outside world, I felt totally in a slump. Scrolling through Instagram on those days off, I saw so many things that exuded the traditional sex appeal that it had me yearning for just a piece of that role. Women get so caught up in their everyday not-so-glamorous lives (or perceived glamorous lives) that it can be challenging to find ways to feel, act, and portray anything remotely sexy. So it got me to thinking...how can I--and all my girls--feel sexy with limited time, a modest budget, and without leaving the house?! Easy! I've got 5 tasks, that you may or may not do often, that can give you a boost of confidence and sprinkle some sexy dust on your entire life...even if just for the day.
Read The Rest HERE on Glow Stream TV! The Something In The Water Festival was the largest festival ever to hit Virginia Beach, and I had a front row seat to all of the action during the 3 day weekend. Created and curated by Pharrell Williams, SITW was a music and arts festival that featured national recording artists, More Than The Music conversations, art walks, Pop Up Church Service, and more. As the host of the More Than The Music Conversations, I had the pleasure of meeting, introducing, and chatting with some of the biggest movers and shakers in all industries. From the hustle and bustle of everything, to soaking in all of the action, check out some of my festival highlights through photos and some of my personal takeaways from literally, the MOST EPIC weekend in Virginia.
Author, Journalist, and Political Activist Roland Martin is never one to bite his tongue when it comes to speaking about the state of culture. I caught up with the super passionate TV personality where we discussed black America, wealth, education, and more!
We love a good Hometown Do It Yourself (DIY) activity! These decorative bowls are perfect for brunch decor, eating a tasty bowl of ice cream, or a great gift to give a friend. The best part about this DIY is that it costs less than $5.00 to make and about 10 minutes of your time.
See the easy steps after the break!
Musician, Actor, and Producer Pharrell Williams has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years! I got the chance to catch up with the superstar this Summer to talk about his musical legacy, coming back home to VA, and his love for giving back to the community through his non-profit, From One Hand To Another.
I co-hosted The Hampton Roads Show and had the chance to interview comedian and actor DeRay Davis!
Actress Angela Bassett visited Hampton Roads for an exclusive screening of London Has Fallen! Check out what she told me about her role in the film and all of its action-packed scenes.
Kevin Hart & Ice Cube stopped in Hampton Roads for the premiere of Ride Along 2! Check out what these actors had to say about the film and working with each other.
